Can we set different rules per zone?
Yes. Process units, loading bays, utilities, and office areas can each require different documents and training. When someone is assigned to a zone, 9ID applies the matching rules automatically.
Does 9ID replace our access control system?
No. Your badge readers and door controllers stay. 9ID runs company and personal compliance checks first, holds clearance status per zone, and connects to your access control system via API. Only people who pass in 9ID are cleared to badge in. When a check fails or a certificate expires, that status flows through to your badge system automatically.
Can we verify VCA and VCA Petrochemistry certificates?
Yes. Company-level VCA*, VCA**, and VCA Petrochemistry certificates are collected, verified, and tracked to expiry. Personal safety diplomas such as B-VCA and VOL-VCA are handled the same way. Registry checks such as VAT and sanctions screening run automatically against official sources.
What about subcontractors?
You can have a main contractor, subcontractors, and sub-subcontractors. Each company must pass its own checks, and each worker must pass theirs. If any company in the chain fails, its workers cannot enter, even if the firm you contracted directly is compliant.
What happens when a certificate expires?
The worker's status moves to expired. Access is blocked until they renew. Your team gets notified before expiry, not after an auditor finds the gap.
Can we see who is on site right now?
Yes. Live dashboard across sites: who checked in, which zones they are cleared for, and their compliance status.
Does this help during a Seveso inspection or audit?
Yes. Every check-in links to the person, their company, the checks that ran, and the result. Export the record instead of pulling paper folders together.
How is personal data handled?
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is role-based. Every action is logged. 9ID is GDPR-compliant and certified to ISO 27001 and ISO 27701. A Data Processing Agreement is part of onboarding.
