Manual checks create security gaps
Gate staff review paper VCA certificates and IDs. Expired company or personal certs, mismatches, and unqualified workers slip through.
Chemicals & petrochemicals security
9ID's AI security agent pre-verifies every external company and worker against VCA and Seveso requirements before they reach your gate, enforcing zone-level access rules with continuous compliance tracking.

How it works
An automated identity verification workflow for contractors, visitors, drivers and their employers that keeps VCA and process safety access rules consistent across your sites.
Company and personal checks are pre-configured. Adjust to your policy, zones, and company types.
Send an invitation link. The external company registers, gets checked automatically, and adds the people it sends.
People verify identity, upload compliance documents, and complete the site briefing on their phone. Your team only reviews flagged cases.
Every check, source, and timestamp linked to the external person and company. Exportable in one click for audits.
Process safety access
Seveso requires verified contractors before work begins. Manual gate checks happen at arrival. They do not confirm company status, VCA qualifications, or subcontractor verification before granting site access.
Gate staff review paper VCA certificates and IDs. Expired company or personal certs, mismatches, and unqualified workers slip through.
Every company and worker is pre-verified before arrival. All documents and checks must be complete before access is granted.
Your badge system and your compliance records don't talk to each other. When a certificate expires, nothing automatically stops that person from entering.
Documents monitored continuously. Access blocked the moment company or personal checks no longer pass.
You verify the company you contracted directly. The firms they subcontract often send workers to your gate without the same checks.
Main contractor, sub, and sub-sub. Each must pass company and worker checks before anyone enters your perimeter.
Spreadsheets, gate notes, and badge lists that do not link a decision to the person, company, and check
Every check, source, timestamp, and decision logged to the external person and company, exportable in one click
The chemicals & petrochemicals blueprint
Pre-clear both the contracting company and the individual worker before they reach your perimeter. All checks execute automatically long before gate entry.
Every external company on site. Enter a VAT number and 9ID checks it against official sources, then keeps watching for changes.
Every person the company sends completes their own checks on their phone before they travel to site.
Inherited permissions
If an external company fails a compliance check, access is instantly paused for every worker they employ—preventing unverified personnel from reaching your perimeter and creating compliance risk.
Zone coverage
From process units to loading bays, each zone gets the pre-screening, credentials, and access rules it requires.
Restrict entry to pre-screened contractors with verified VCA qualifications and unit-specific safety training.
Handle contractor surges during shutdowns with pre-arrival verification. Cleared crews scan through the gate in ~20 seconds.
Pre-verify drivers and delivery crews before they reach hazardous loading areas, with access limited to the zones and time window you assign.
Protect critical infrastructure areas from unverified contractor access with zone-level clearance rules.

about 9ID's AI security agent.
Yes. Process units, loading bays, utilities, and office areas can each require different documents and training. When someone is assigned to a zone, 9ID applies the matching rules automatically.
No. Your badge readers and door controllers stay. 9ID runs company and personal compliance checks first, holds clearance status per zone, and connects to your access control system via API. Only people who pass in 9ID are cleared to badge in. When a check fails or a certificate expires, that status flows through to your badge system automatically.
Yes. Company-level VCA*, VCA**, and VCA Petrochemistry certificates are collected, verified, and tracked to expiry. Personal safety diplomas such as B-VCA and VOL-VCA are handled the same way. Registry checks such as VAT and sanctions screening run automatically against official sources.
You can have a main contractor, subcontractors, and sub-subcontractors. Each company must pass its own checks, and each worker must pass theirs. If any company in the chain fails, its workers cannot enter, even if the firm you contracted directly is compliant.
The worker's status moves to expired. Access is blocked until they renew. Your team gets notified before expiry, not after an auditor finds the gap.
Yes. Live dashboard across sites: who checked in, which zones they are cleared for, and their compliance status.
Yes. Every check-in links to the person, their company, the checks that ran, and the result. Export the record instead of pulling paper folders together.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is role-based. Every action is logged. 9ID is GDPR-compliant and certified to ISO 27001 and ISO 27701. A Data Processing Agreement is part of onboarding.
